About Mackenzie

First, I am passionate about speech pathology and serving as a resource to families as they navigate their child's communication journey. I love students of all ages, I love families, and I love speech therapy!

I graduated from Central Michigan university in 2013 and received my Master of Arts degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I currently hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) and a Michigan Speech Pathology License.

I previously worked in Birmingham Public Schools as an Elementary and Post-Secondary Speech and Language Pathologist. During this time I worked alongside students with a variety of communication needs.

Two of my favorite parts about working with students in the schools was seeing students strive to achieve their communication goals and collaborating with families and teachers to help students transfer their skills to all areas of their daily lives.

I had the privilage of being nominated for the Friends of Different Learners Appreciation Awards by several families in 2015 and 2016. Nominations are given by parents of Birmingham Public Schools Friends of Different Learners association for going the extra mile to maximize the potential of students with different abilities.
